What is Invisalign?

Invisalign is an orthodontic treatment that helps to straighten teeth without having to wear typical metal braces. Known as cosmetic orthodontics, this type of treatment enables you to wear a removable appliance while straightening and aligning your teeth. Patients now have a different option besides metal braces. This is often a favourable option for adults who have professional careers and don’t feel comfortable wearing metal ‘train track’ braces for months on end.

Invisalign involves wearing a series of custom-made clear plastic aligners that help shift your teeth into the proper position. The technology behind invisible orthodontics is highly advanced and often gives patients a much shorter treatment time (depending on your individual case) compared to metal braces.

How much does Invisalign cost?

At Dental Care Group, Invisalign treatment starts from £1800, however the price will depend on the level of treatment required. If you would like to know the price of your Invisalign treatment, you would need to book a free consultation at one of our practices.

Is Invisalign worth the money?

Our patients regularly tell us we have changed their lives, so we believe Invisalign is certainly worth the money! The confidence that Invisalign treatment brings to our patients, who often would hide their smile, is priceless.

Benefits of Invisalign:

A clear choice for aligning your teeth

At Dental Care Group, we want to offer you an excellent variety of options for straightening your teeth. Choice means that you can select the method that closely meets your needs and suits your lifestyle.

At our clinic in Clacton, Invisalign is just one of the great dental brands we offer for aligning your teeth. If we look at the process in detail, we think you will see why.

As with any dental procedure, the first step is always a thorough examination and chat with your dentist. They will talk to you about what can be achieved and, if possible, offer you the option you want. When you visit us in Clacton, Invisalign is one of the offerings we will talk to you about. If you decide to choose this as your route to straight teeth then your dentist will give a detailed timetable of what will happen and a full breakdown of cost so you are fully prepared.

Invisalign aligners are made just for you. They are clear trays that fit over the top of your teeth and this is one of the things that makes them so appealing to people. As an adult, there are lots of reasons why we need to consider the aesthetics of a dental procedure during treatment as well as the finished results. Life carries on whilst you are having dental treatment and, for some people, it may not be comfortable or appropriate to have obtrusive dental work on their teeth. Invisalign are barely visible even to someone looking straight at you.

You will be given a full set of aligners to take home with you and advised how often to change each one for the next one in the series. The convenience of not having to visit your dentist every time you need an adjustment is another factor that makes these aligners popular. Working through the whole run gently moves your teeth into position.

Why choose us?

We are with you from the beginning of treatment through to the finished smile and we also believe that excellent aftercare is the mark of a great practice. We look forward to being your choice for Invisalign in Clacton.

Using Invisalign to subtly straighten adults’ teeth

What if we told you there was a subtler way to straighten your teeth than metal braces? At Southend Dental Care we are always keen to highlight the benefits of teeth straightening treatment to patients of all ages. However, we are aware that the thought of wearing an obvious metal appliance for months or years on end can be a barrier to treatment for adult patients. That’s why we are proud to offer a more discreet option.

straighten-teethInvisalign has been used successfully to treat more than three million patients across the world to date. This treatment is designed to subtly straighten your teeth, with next to no impact on your lifestyle.

How Invisalign works

Unlike traditional braces, which are fixed in place for the duration of treatment, Invisalign aligners are safe and easy to remove at home. They can be taken out for short periods to eat and drink, as well as to clean and to brush and floss your teeth as normal, meaning no special dental hygiene techniques are needed during treatment.

Treatment involves the use of a series of clear aligners – sometimes called “invisible braces” – which are designed to fit comfortably over your teeth, gradually guiding them into a better position. You need to change your aligner every two weeks as your teeth begin to move, and will need to use a retainer at the end of treatment to make sure your teeth stay in their new position.

Every case is different, and your Invisalign dentist will tell you how many aligners you will need during your initial consultation.

Invisalign is backed up by advanced 3D computer software, which means that after taking photographs and impressions as necessary your dentist will be able to show you the results you can expect from treatment right from the outset.

You will need to wear your aligners most of the time – between 20 and 22 hours per day to ensure that treatment progress stays on track. However, because they are made from durable clear plastic, they will be invisible to the untrained eye, meaning that nobody needs to know you are having orthodontic treatment unless you choose to tell them.
