Parish Vaid is one of the founding partners of the Dental Care Group and helps provide leadership and advice to the Board. Over the last twenty-five years he has developed strong relationships with the Local Area Teams, NHS England and Local Dental Committees. He has been heavily involved in securing the necessary funding from lenders and liaising with the solicitors to help the growth of the group.
Parish qualified in 1991, having studied at UMDS (Guy’s) Dental School, London. He holds a Postgraduate Certificate in Dental Education (2010) and is a Fellow of the Higher Education Academy. He has been an Educational Supervisor with Health Education East of England for over twelve years. During this period, he provided mentorship to numerous dentists, most of whom are currently still working with the Dental Care Group.
He has a wealth of knowledge and experience and understands the changing landscape of dentistry. He has been dedicated to teaching and learning and believes that all members of the dental profession should strive for excellence, but also understands the challenges, difficulties and opportunities they face.
Parish has been employed as the Dental Advisor on the Kensington & Chelsea Clinical Commissioning Committee between 2005–2012. During this time he helped shape their commissioning strategy for GPs, Dentists, Opticians and Pharmacists.
He has also been a member of the Steering Group on Kensington & Chelsea’s Social Marketing Project which helped improve access to NHS services across the borough and been a member of the Oral Health Commissioning Group between 2008-2013.Since 2012 he has been a Local Dental Committee Member, and sits on the panel for the North West London Liaison Group.
Parish is married with two sons and in his spare time enjoys his family skiing trips, playing golf and reading. He is also a member of the local cricket club helping coach their Colts Youth Academy.
